Find Support Anywhere Through Virtual Therapy
At New Light Counseling, we offer secure and confidential Telehealth for adults who want compassionate, effective counseling from the comfort of their own space. Whether you’re managing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, or simply need a supportive space to process your feelings, our therapists are here to meet you with warmth, expertise, and realness—no matter where you are.
Therapy That Fits Your Life and Needs
We understand that life gets busy, travel or mobility can be challenging, and sometimes stepping into an office feels overwhelming. Virtual therapy allows you to engage in meaningful therapy sessions via video so you can access high-quality care without sacrificing convenience or emotional safety.
We create a relationship grounded in trust, connection, and personalized support. You’ll find a confidential space where you can speak openly, explore your inner world, and work toward healing and growth on your own terms.
We Help Clients Work Through:

Who Can Benefit from Telehealth?
Telehealth FAQ
Is video therapy (Telehealth) secure and HIPAA-compliant?
Yes. At New Light Counseling, we use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform to protect your privacy and confidentiality. Your sessions are never recorded, and all information shared remains protected under the same ethical and legal guidelines as in-person therapy.
What do I need to do Telehealth sessions?
You’ll need a reliable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone, such as a smartphone, tablet, or computer. You’ll also want a quiet, private space where you feel safe and comfortable talking freely during your session. Headphones can help improve privacy and focus.
Can I do EMDR over Telehealth?
Yes. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) can be done effectively via Telehealth. We use virtual tools like bilateral audio, visual tracking, and tapping to guide the process in a way that’s both safe and personalized. Many clients find remote EMDR just as impactful as in-person work.
Will I still feel connected to my therapist during video sessions?
Many people are surprised by how personal and relational Telehealth sessions can feel. Our therapists are trained to create emotional safety and build strong connections—even through a screen. If you’re nervous about it, we’re happy to talk through how it works before your first session.
Is Telehealth covered by insurance?
Most insurance plans now cover Telehealth services, though coverage can vary. We recommend checking with your provider to confirm benefits. If you’re paying privately, rates are the same as in-person sessions.
Can I switch between in-person and Telehealth sessions?
Yes, depending on availability and your therapist’s schedule. Some clients choose to do most sessions virtually and come in occasionally, while others prefer to stay fully online. We’re happy to work with whatever feels best for you.
Our Telehealth services are designed for adults at any stage of life seeking connection and support. Whether you’re managing ongoing symptoms or navigating a specific challenge, Telehealth offers a flexible, accessible path to healing.
