What trauma actually looks like
It doesn't always look like "a trauma".
Trauma isn't only about what happened. It's about what your nervous system had to do to survive it — and what it's still doing, long after the danger has passed.
For some people, trauma looks like one defining event. For many others, it's quieter: the slow accumulation of being unseen, unsupported, or unsafe. Years of holding it together. Years of being the strong one. Years of feeling fundamentally off in ways you can't quite explain.
Trauma might be showing up as:
Hypervigilance — always scanning, never fully relaxed
Difficulty trusting people, including yourself
Emotional numbness or feeling "checked out"
Intense reactions that feel disproportionate to what's happening
Chronic anxiety, depression, or burnout that doesn't fully resolve
Patterns in relationships you can see clearly but can't seem to change
Feeling broken, "too much," or "not enough"
A persistent sense that something isn't quite right — even when life looks fine
Our approach to trauma
Paced to your nervous system. Always.
Trauma work isn't about diving into the worst memories on day one. It's about building safety first — in the relationship, in your body, and in the work itself. Only then do we go where the work actually needs to go.

Meet Ashley.

Healing is possible.
