Meet Mikayla

Hi, I'm Mikayla!

Mikayla · RMHCI & RMFTI · Teens 10+ · Young adults · Families · Anxiety

If you've ever found yourself overthinking a text, questioning where you stand in a relationship, or wondering "why do I keep ending up here?" — you're in the right place.

I work with children (10+), teens, young adults, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, identity development, self-esteem concerns, grief, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients are experiencing major changes, struggling with overwhelming emotions, healing from difficult experiences, or simply trying to better understand themselves and the people around them. Together, we create space for both practical growth and deeper healing.

I believe that healing happens when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted without judgment.

My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to your unique needs. Whether we're building emotional awareness, strengthening coping skills, improving communication, processing difficult experiences, or navigating family challenges, my goal is to help you feel empowered and supported throughout the process.

Outside of the therapy room, I am an avid yogi, dancer, and coffee enthusiast who values creativity, movement, and mindfulness as important parts of overall wellbeing. I've personally experienced how grounding practices, self-reflection, and meaningful connection can support healing, and I bring that appreciation into my work with clients.

One of the things I value most about counseling is the opportunity to witness people reconnect with their strengths, develop self-compassion, and create meaningful change.

Therapy isn't about becoming a different person—it's about understanding yourself more fully, honoring your experiences, and building a life that feels authentic to who you are.
